The focus of this care is on providing relief from symptoms and improving the quality of life for both the patient and family. Palliative care focuses on the needs of the patient.  It is appropriate at any age and stage of serious illness and can be provided along with curative treatment.

  • Time to devote to comprehensive family meetings

  • Completion of advance care directives that align with the goals of the patient
